What's this all about?

The other day Nicole, Annelies and I decided to get together and go for a walk. We walked from our homes in Chiavari across the bridge to Lavagna, where we stopped for cappuccino. Then we walked along the seafront promenade and over the beach all the way to Sestri Levante. A bustling resort town in the summer, Sestri is deserted on a weekday at this time of year, and we had trouble even finding a restaurant that was open. In the end we settled for the Millelire café - a hot spot for local youth on summer evenings, a quiet place for a lunch break out of season. Nicole and I had octopus soaked in balsamic vinegar on a bed of rucola (arugola, rocket... it has several names) and Annelies had smoked swordfish on the same. While resting our feet and enjoying our lunch we talked about our walk and we decided to try and do the same thing every Wednesday morning: a walk followed by lunch. And to invite some more ladies to join us. And then we got really carried away and decided to write a blog about it. So here it is! Annelies has written the first entry: it looks like I wrote it but I actually only posted it, and I have no idea what it says! I hope I stuck the photos in at appropriate places!!!
